Trimming and the belfry

Went to the doll show and there were no miniatures.  Good show, though.  It's important to support these shows or they will go by the wayside.  We stopped at the Cracker Barrel for lunch.  Yum. Haven't been to a CB in a long time.

When we got home, I took at nap and then began working on the buildings.  I tried to put a hole in the belfry top but had to ask hubby to use the Dremel.  So the bell is stuck up in that hole and held tight by a glob of glue.  I think it looks wonderful.

Then I worked on the library wall.  I put trim around the windows, a baseboard and crown molding to finish it a bit.  The window trims are rough but I'll sand them down and smooth them out tomorrow.  I like the way the white makes the wall pop.

I'm going to try to do the rails for the stairs tomorrow and just work through the afternoon.  In the morning, I do have to finish doll skirts and capes so they are ready for Halloween decoration.  I usually sew in the morning and do the miniatures after lunch.

It's also important that I get back to my 1:12 dollhouse while everything is going on. it's time to take down summer stuff and get ready for autumn.  So I'll let you see that, too.

It's 9:20 p.m. and poor hubby is falling asleep and trying to stay awake.  Time to hit the sack.

Until then...

Pat

  1. The white is certainly effective against the walls, and the bell is perfect in the tower.
