And, I was bored with my exercises. I began my dance routine steps. More challenging. And more fun. Still working crosswords, cutting cardboard and fabric and typing a lot. With each thing I do, I feel myself getting stronger. It's only been 2 weeks since my stroke. I'm fortunate and blessed to be doing so well.
One of my decisions, which I shared with you yesterday, was a choice of backgrounds for the village.
Watching Project Runway -- it's new season. All are working in groups this year. And that is tough when you are a designer. As a rule, I work wonderful in teams but as a designer, I'm very much a loner. This is going to be a good season. They are always at each other's throats.
Back to the village. Now I am making a decision on the base for the buildings on the streets. I tried cutting and placing foam board on each "street." But I found that even the 1/4" extra didn't allow the full building to sit comfortably. Isn't that amazing?
So I looked at what I had and found mat board. I will use that instead. It is easier to cut, too. I only have a few pieces so a trip to the craft store is a must...probably tomorrow night after our dinner out. (P.S. We are back to our date nights!)
I am showing you both of them so you can see what I'm up against.

Thicker board |
After the bases are done, I'm going to cover them with grassy turf. I will probably have to use spray adhesive since the board is so thin. And it's cold out. Definitely a tough call. I'll let you know what I decide to do.
Until then...
Pat
so glad you are feeling and getting better, keep up with the excersises, take care x
ReplyDeleteforgot to say, I love the background pictures of the sea, I would love to be able to look out of my windows and see the sea, so my answer to what background I would use, is the sea
