Backing on shelves

Another cold day.  Went to a super bowl party -- mainly to eat so I didn't have to cook.  There was a chili cook-off in which we all voted.  It was like the 3 bears: one very mild, one mild with a kick and one that would melt your eyebrows.  So I had a bowl with the first two and a dash of the last one and crumbled Frito scoops.  Yummy.  And a Dunkin' Donut cruller.  Orange pop.  Doesn't get much better than that.  Came home at half-time.  Cracked up at the power outage because you just don't think that kind of thing would happen.  Anyway, the commercials were okay.  My favorite was the Budweiser colt.  Oh my.  What a sweet ad.

Anyway, my shelves have backs on them.  Took me a while to measure and cut the mat board.  My right hand still isn't back 100% so it took me longer to make the cuts.  Once on, though, I think they look great. 

I just happened to have the light brown mat board that blends perfectly with the wood of the shelves.  How lucky was that?

I know I have to tackle the post office next.  I have a lot of gluing to do before I can even start putting them together.  I like things that go kind of quickly.
